The 54th Annual WSOP
The 54th annual WSOP held in Las Vegas, Nevada, from May 30 to July 18, 2023, was a resounding success. Taking place at the Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas, the series boasted an impressive lineup of 95 bracelet events, along with 20 online bracelet events. With 608 tables spread across more than 200,000 square feet of convention space and a total prize pool of $425.5 million, surpassing last year's $347.9 million total prize pool.
One of the standout events was the $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event, which drew an astounding 10,043 participants, setting a new record. Daniel Weinman emerged as the victor, claiming a staggering $12 million in prize money and becoming the new poker world champion.
Noteworthy players left their marks, with Phil Hellmuth securing his 17th WSOP bracelet, Jason Mercier making a triumphant return to the poker scene, claiming his 6th WSOP Bracelet or Jason Clarke achieving a remarkable victory that earned him a Main Event entry until 2053.
